Industrial Clusters program

The Industrial Clusters Program is one of the government initiatives that was established to stimulate the establishment and development of five industries in the Kingdom and their development:

  • Manufacture of cars and their parts.
  • Metals and steel industry.
  • Solar energy industry.
  • Plastic and packaging materials industry.
  • Home appliances industry.

The program is supervised by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The initiative aims to work to diversify sources of income, and to contribute to creating distinct job opportunities for male and female citizens, in addition to working with the authorities related to the local industry to achieve the Kingdom's vision of increasing the industry's contribution to the GDP by 20%, by the end of 2020 AD.
