The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program

The Saudi Arabian government pays special attention to the educational sector. In the Kingdom's keenness on the sustainable development of human resources in the Kingdom; it launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques foreign scholarship program in 1426 H / 2005.

To prepare distinguished generations for a knowledge society based on knowledge economy.

Mission

To raise the country’s human resources and competences to a level where they can effectively compete at the world level and therefore serve as an important resource for Saudi universities and the public and private sectors.

Goals

  • Sending qualified Saudi competencies to study in the best universities in various countries of the world.
  • Work to achieve a high level of academic and professional standards through the scholarship program.
  • Exchanging scientific, educational and cultural experiences with various countries of the world.
  • Establishing qualified and professional Saudi cadres in the work environment.
  • Raising the level of professionalism and developing it among Saudi cadres.

Program Progress

In its first phase, the program lasted five years, and in its second phase, it was extended for another five years. In the year 2015/1436, the third phase was launched aiming to link scholarships to the specializations required in the labor market, through the "Your Job is Your Mission" path. The stage targeted outstanding students and distinguished academic institutions.
The third phase witnessed the creation of new tracks, including: the elite universities track, the medical track, the international scholarship track, and the excellence track. New specializations have also been created that are consistent with the Kingdom's vision 2030, including: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, air transport, and health specialties.
