Currently, there is no specific law that regulates general education within KSA. However, general education is currently regulated by certain regulations and resolutions issued by the Council of Ministers. Therefore, the General Education Draft Law will unify the regulatory basis for the general education sector which in turn help serve this important sector.
The General Education Draft Law aims towards regulating general education in order to raise the level of the educational process in order to achieve the highest quality levels in education and improve its outputs scientifically in terms of education and skill, through organizing the governance of general education sector, setting out the regulatory capabilities for the concerned government entities to advance the educational process and linking its outputs to market needs and requirements, while taking into account The Kingdom’s Vision 2030, especially the Human Capability Development Program.
