The project aims to address the challenges facing facilities, as the amendment to the regulation is to exempt facilities classified with one star from applying the full SASO 1334 standard specification for safety requirements in maintenance and repair workshops, and to replace that with a checklist - Annex 5 - that includes the most important safety items that must be provided in maintenance and repair workshops
rated with one star. The amendment also included the addition of some devices and equipment to facilities classified as four stars to comply with the requirements of the facility’s work in the following activities: quick service centers, mechanics work, paint work, and adding the activity of repairing and maintaining motorcycles and equipment necessary to practice the activity.
