The Statistics System project aims to organize the statistical work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was formulated after careful review of international best practices and relevant laws, based on the regulations and processes related to the adoption of regulations in the Kingdom. The statistical system aims to develop the statistics system, by setting the legal framework for the development, production and dissemination of official statistics. This is to contribute to providing accurate data that serves sustainable economic development in various fields, and to provide an effective framework for providing reliable data and statistics. Official statistics help in the proper planning of development and also work to meet the needs and requirements of the governmental and private sectors, and to fulfill the Kingdom's commitments and regional and international statistical requirements such as the League of Arab States, Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), government agencies, United Nations, International Monetary Fund, Group of Twenty (G20) and others. It is worth noting the unanimity of officials, development plan makers, experts and specialists around the world on the importance of accurate data and information for sustainable development in various fields and sectors of work and production.
