Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz congratulated the Humanitarian Kingdom's team for the success of the operation to separate the two male Jordanian conjoined Twins which was conducted lately at King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard.
On the other hand, King Abdullah II of Jordan congratulated Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for this success that was achieved under his royal patronage and directive.
Coming as the 27th Twins separation operation, Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeea, who is also head of the surgical and medical team to conduct a separation surgery for a Jordanian Siamese twins, announced success of the operation to separate Mohammed and Amjad, two male twins who were rushed from Amman, Jordan, to Riyadh recently to have the surgery performed under directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz at his own expenses.
Following a very complicated 7-hour operation, the result is a complete success for the twins whose situation is now stable at the intensive care unit at King Abdulaziz Medical city of the National Guard in Riyadh, Al-Rabeea said, adding that 70 consultants and specialist doctors and nurses and 200 of the support team took part in the operation.
The Health Minister confirmed that the Kingdom has a pioneering experience in such operations especially that that it has come at the first position all over the world in reference to number of operations conducted.
Mother of the two infants expressed on her part a great pleasure for the success of the operation dedicating gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the King of Jordan in addition to the medical team who conducted the operation successfully.
