Riyadh, (SPA)  -  The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired here today, the Cabinet Session held at Al-Yamamah Palace. The King directed officials to ensure projects are fully implemented time according to approved budgets in order to achieve the aims and objective set for them so as to improve services and raise their efficiency in all sectors.
Following the session, the Minister of culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja told the (SPA) that the Council approved the Kingdom joining the Agreement on Nuclear Safety and approved a number of Memorandum of Understandings among which are the ones signed by the Saudi Olympic Committee with its American counterpart and authorized His Royal Highness, Vice President of Youth Welfare or his representative to sign it.
and authorized the Minister of Islamic Affairs or his deputy to discuss and sign the MoU on cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain and also the MoU on educational cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Science and Innovation in the Kingdom of Spain.
About the procedure concerning the Haramain Express Railway, the Council approved the financing and signing the contracts for the services to be provided for the project by the General Investments Fund.
The Council also agreed that the Company executing the project shall enjoy all the privileges and facilities granted to State projects, such as to get its energy needs with domestic prices, and agreed that the Ministry of Transport shall provide the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources - urgently – with detailed maps of the route of the Haramain Express Railway and the right of way and geographical coordinates on a digital and paper form, and approved that the Ministries of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Petroleum and Mineral Resources to study the route map of the train urgently and coordinate with the Ministry of Transport if there are any problems.
As for the formation of specialized scientific councils for the Panel of Experts, the Council approved a number of procedures so that it could take the responsibly of translation to other international languages according to the need but shall begin with French, German, Russian and Spanish languages in addition to a number of specialists in legal affairs from those who master the above mentioned languages. The translation department shall select the qualified persons for these councils.
