GCC countries discuss electronic link on land ports

Dubai - The 24th  meeting of directors -general of the passports in GCC countries has discussed integrating occupational descriptions for GCC residents in order to reach a common formula of the occupations for movement of residents between GCC countries.
The Nationality, Passports and. Residence acting director-general Brigadier Nasser Al Awadhl Al Mlnhali in Abu Dhabi, said following the meeting which held for two days and hosted by Abu Dhabi, that the meeting discussed a number of issues relating to coordination and security cooperation between the GCC countries in facilitating the movement of citizens and residents between GCC countries so as to increase the flow of exchange of goods, as well as ways to enhance cooperation in the areas of training and exchange of experiences among GCC countries in the field of nationality and residence,
He explained that the meeting had been reviewing the experience of UAE on the issue of the electronic link with the Sultanate of Oman through the land border ports , pointing out that the GCC countries are studying the text of this experience in the future.
