Saudi national basketball team for the crippled qualifies to the Finals of Athens Olympics

Athens, SPA: Saudi national basketball team solely comprising players of special needs qualified to the finals of Athens Olympic games after beating Romania 22/8. The team will meet Italy on the final match today. On the other hand, Tale'a Al-Yamai and Ali Faqihi yesterday won two golden medals at the 200-meter race for the 22-29 age and 16-21 age categories respectively while Fares Gharway won a bronze for the 800-meter race for the 22-and-above age. This brings to seven gold and two bronze the number of medals won by the Saudi national team taking part in the special Olympiad currently taking place in Athens. On the sidelines of the games, the leader of the Saudi mission to the games Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh held a meeting with the leader of the Russian mission. During the meeting, matters of mutual concern to the two sides were reviewed.
