An international conference on healthy lifestyles and non-communicable diseases in the Arab world and Middle East will be held in Riyadh on 23-25 Shawal 1433H. Dr. Khaled Margalani, ministry of health spokesman signalled the role of Saudi Arabia as a forerunner that implement the declaration of the world strategy to fight non-communicable diseases ratified by heads of states and governments in September 2011.
The conference will discuss the burden of non-communicable diseases and their social and economic effects on the territory.Effective solutions will be reviewed to mitigate the brunt of the diseases on public health and social and economic development.
A roadmap for a detailed action plan will be formulated for implementation in the Arab World and the Middle East.
