Riyadh (SPA). Crown Prince Sultan, Deputy Premier And Minister Of Defense And Aviation, yesterday attended the 10th anniversary of Prince Sultan University in Riyadh and laid the foundation for its new Campus and the graduation of the 7th batch of the Bachelors degree and the first batch of the Masters Degree .
The Vice-chancellor of the University, Dr. Ahmed bin Saleh Al Yamani disclosed that the University has now reached the excellence level because of the big support of the Crown Prince and the Governor of Riyadh and other senior leaders of the Kingdom.
Earlier on arrival at the university, Prince Sultan was received by Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Naif, Riyadh Gov. Prince Salman, chairman of the Riyadh Charitable Foundation, and Higher Education Minister Khaled Al-Anqari.
Ahmed Al-Yamani, president of the university, commended Prince Sultan and Prince Salman for their support to the institution. Abdul Aziz Al-Thunayan, secretary-general of the Riyadh foundation, thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for the government decision to pay 50 percent of the academic fees of students at private universities and colleges.
Prince Sultan later pressed his hand on an electronic screen to mark the laying of the foundation of the new campus. He also watched a presentation on the new campus project and its facilities.
Prince Muqrin, director of intelligence, signed an agreement with the university to establish a center for data mining, which will be named after him. The ceremony also witnessed the graduation of the 7th batch of the bachelor degree program and the first batch of the master's degree program.
