Jeddah, SPA: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia chaired the Cabinet session held yesterday at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the results of his visits to Canada, the United States of America. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the talks he held with Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad as well as the outcomes of the trilateral summit he held with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and Lebanese President Michel Suleiman in the presence of Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the results of his talks with Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said that the Cabinet highly appreciated the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the leaders of brotherly countries as well as their emphasis on the need for solidarity and standing as one to meet the challenges facing the Arab countries, especially the Israeli defiance of the continued occupation of the Arab territories, Israel's arbitrary actions and criminal acts against the Palestinian people, and Israel's quest for Judaizing Al-Quds City. The Cabinet also appreciated the emphasis of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the leaders of brotherly countries on the need to face plots and conspiracies against Arab region that aim to spread sectarian strife. The Cabinet commended the historical visit paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad to Lebanon as well as the final statement issued after the tripartite summit in Beirut, during which they discussed ways to promote national reconciliation and internal stability in Lebanon, in addition to ways of improving economic and social growth in Lebanon. The leaders declared their solidarity with Lebanon against Israeli threats. Dr. Khoja said that the Cabinet addressed the Muslim World League (MWL) Conference held in Makkah under the theme "MWL: Reality and Future Prospects" to mark the 50th anniversary of MWL establishment. The conference was opened on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques by the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior.
