Islamic Countries Taxation Authorities Assembly  Conference

Minister of Finance opened the 8th technical conference of the Islamic Countries Taxation Authorities Assembly conference at Intercontinental  Riyadh.
Held on 3-7/11/1432, the conference agenda includes the role of double taxation avoidance. 25 countries and 5 regional and international organizations attended the conference.
Founded in Malaysia in 2003, the assembly comprises now 26 member countries and 7 observer countries.
As a member of G20, Saudi Arabia is a member of the transparency and information exchange forum. It participates in the meetings of The Organization of Economic Cooperation and  Development (OECD) in an observer capacity. Moreover, it attends meetings of the experts council of the UN economic and social council. It participates in North Africa and Middle East Investment forum.
Minister of National Economy said:” Good taxation policies and systems need effective taxation management to implement the policies and systems.”            
He said Zakat & Income Department has developed and improved its systems and  performance to the satisfaction of its customers. It is introducing  recent technologies.
Countries participating in the conference include: Jordan, Afghanistan,   U.A.E, Iran, Pakistan, Djibouti, Indonesia, KSA, Senegal, Sudan, Tajikistan, Palestine, Qatar, Comoros, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania & Yemen.
Observers include: Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Turkey, Tunisia and Oman.
Regional and international organizations participated in the conference include International Bureau of Financial Documents (IBFD), GCC, Organization of Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD),Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) & Islamic Development Bank (ISDB).
