Communications And Information Technology Commission has completely prepared the infrastructure required to offer its online services through the 6th version of Internet protocol (IPv6). Consequently, it is the first government organization to provide its online services using this protocol.
Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Malek, General Manager of CITC's Public Relations, Media and International Affairs, pointed out that this step comes within the Commission's plans to customize all its online series to comply with this new edition. This will ensure using internet services for the coming decades in addition to utilizing, with expansion, the various applications, he said. Using this new version will help transcend the capacity limits of the 4th version (IPv4) that is currently in use.
