Quality is Kingdom's way to compete globally: King

Riyadh - The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud has said that Saudi Arabia cannot achieve global competitiveness unless quality becomes its basic standard for all what it provides for the world, with excellence derived from the teachings of Islam”, and that quality has become “the most important grounding for the Kingdom to achieve international recognition with the products and services that reflect the country and its people’s potential”.
In a speech delivered on behalf of King Abdullah by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Abdullah Zainal, at the launching of the second Quality Forum in Riyadh on Tuesday evening, which also witnessed the inauguration of new projects from the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO), Saudi Press Agency quoted.
The King said that SASO’s vision was to make the Kingdom a “global measure of quality through its products and services” so that “we gain the status appropriate for our nation in a time that has place only for those who take knowledge for their path and quality and excellence for their program”.
