At his office in Ma'zar, Prince Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, signed, yesterday, a Memorandum-of-Understanding with Dr. Khaled Bin Mohamed Al-Anqary, Minister of Higher Education, concerning remote and online Education programs to be offered to employees of Air Defense Forces and Armed Forces Medical Services.
The yesterday signed Memorandum has been envisioned to establish an integral system based upon a comprehensive infrastructure to provide remote education. This is to have all educational centers similarly linked through a central educational network like those of King Abdullah College for Air Defense, Air Defense Institute in Jeddah, Prince Sultan Military College for Health Sciences and all other training centers subordinate to Health Services. It is also planned to support remote and online education researches and studies, to participate with National Center for online and e-Education in organizing meetings, conferences and workshops, and to design a complementary system that can provide training and interactive activities suitable for individual and collective interaction, in addition to support reomte and online Education applications in accordance with applied and approved quality criteria.
The Minister of Higher Education pointed out that signing this Memorandum has come within His Ministry's keen interest to disseminate remote education applications, and its attention devoted to establish and prepare many remote educational centers within Saudi Universities. It is also aimed to urge knowledge and experience sharing between both Ministries of Defense and Higher Education, he added.
