Communications and Information Technology Commission will organize next Sunday at Riyadh Four Seasons, a symposium titled "challenages and developments opportunities of IT in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia".
Sultan Al-Malek, CITC's spokesman, pointed out that the objective behind such a symposium is to discuss IT role in availing the prerequisites for economic development and improving national IT skills in addition to evaluating the effective role of knowledge-based industries.
At the symposium, the CITC will issue a report on status of IT in the Kingdom including numerous studies made by the Commission in partnership with Accredited Research  centers. Such a report will contain instructions and guidelines to main stakeholders concerning IT future challenges and threats in the Kingdom. The report will also have a general brief about IT market in addition to potentials and obstacles of its usage.
