His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan Region will sponsor tomorrow, Tuesday the first Hereditary Blood Diseases Conference, organized by the Directorate General of Health Affairs in the region in cooperation with the Center for hereditary blood diseases, at the King Fahd Central Hospital.
The director general of health affairs in the region, Dr. Mohsen Ben Siddiq Tbeiqi, told SPA that consultants of hereditary blood diseases and specialists from various regions of the Kingdom, in addition to a hereditary blood diseases expert, Professor Mikel Abboud of Lebanon, and Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the hereditary blood diseases in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al Tarawah will participate in the conference.
The conference, the first of its kind concerning the hereditary blood disease in the region, will be held at the level of the Ministry of Health aiming to raise the awareness of genetic blood diseases in areas of care, education, risks and methods of prevention.
According to Dr Mohsen, the conference will last for two days devoted to the implementation of the scientific program and also reception of patients and their families by the consultants and specialists of hereditary blood diseases participating in the conference.
