Dr. Osama bin Sadeq Taieb, rector of King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, launched, yesterday at the university council hall, an e-System for nominating the University staff to get scientific prizes and training grants.
He pointed out that this keen interest in the nomination of university members for local, regional and international prizes in addition to scientific cooperation and grants sharing with other educational organizations, will lead to the development of the University members' skills in the field of scientific research. This will result in achieving international well-known prizes both for staff and the university, added the rector.
On the other hand, Dr. Zuhair bin Abdullah Damanhouri, the university vice rector, confirmed that this is considered one of the pioneering technological projects adopted by the university in cooperation with the Information Technology College. It has been aimed at implementing all administrative works accurately, yet with effective integration, away from any lagging procedures, he said.
