Jeddah, The Governor of Makkah Al Mukarramah Region, Prince Khalid Al Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz, chaired in his office yesterday, the first meeting of Makkah Al Mukarramah and the Holy Sites Development Authority.
In a press statement following the meeting, His Royal Highness said that the meeting discussed a number of issues and formed several committees for handover/takeover and the separation of appropriations and allocations of the new and former Authorities. The Governor added that, Mr. Sami Burhameen  was appointed as the Secretary General of the new Authority and an Executive Committee was also formed to carry out  the duties of the Authority.
His Royal Highness added that the next meeting of the Authority which will be held next month, will look into what has been achieved and the results of this meeting and also the results reached by MMM Company which is studying the Comprehensive Makkah Al Mukarramah Plan. This plan, according to the Governor, will be given the utmost priority. In addition to that, the Governor concluded, among the duties of the Authority is the speeding up the execution of projects in Makkah Al Mukarramah.
