Cabinet welcomes G20 steps and accession of kingdom to FSB

RIYADH - The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud chaired the cabinet meeting at Al-Yamamah Palace yesterday in Riyadh.
During the meeting, King Abdullah thanked God for blessing Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, with good health and hoped that the crown prince would return to the Kingdom in better health. Prince Sultan is currently convalescing in New York following a successful surgical operation.
According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), King Abdullah earlier briefed the ministers on the outcomes of his talks with Arab-Latin American leaders during 21th Arab summit and Arab-Latin American summit in Doha, expressing these two summits would strengthen mutual relations and lead to enhancing cooperation between the countries.
The cabinet welcomed the steps taken by the recent G20 summit aimed at speeding up sustainable economic recovery and to restore confidence in financial systems by adopting reforms and applying monitoring systems.
 The Cabinet commended the summit’s decision to set up the Financial Stability Board (FSB), and includes Saudi Arabia as a member in the board and to strengthen its cooperation with International Monetary Fund (IMF) to provide a mechanism on financial and economic dangers.
