Taif  - Taif Municipality held yesterday a symposium titled " E-government Project in Municipality" in the presence of Taif Mayor, Eng  Mohammed bin Abdurrahman Al-Mukreg , deputy mayors, director-generals and heads of departments and branches, with the participation of consultants and specialists in this field.
According to "Al-Nadwah" newspaper , the objectives of e-Government have been reviewed with regard to raising the level of productivity and quality of service provided, increasing the effectiveness and transparency of government procedures and levels of interaction, improving the performance indicators, development of public funds investment and the digital strategy in some countries.
The stages of application the strategy, infrastructure and integration with the regulations and procedures also discussed.
The  symposium focused on the world e-ranking of E-government, e-government program "Yesser", the project  of Saudi e-Government Portal, and Digital Excellence Award in the kingdom.
 The symposium explained the readiness and infrastructure of the project, including  set up information center, internal network, Internet network , email and communication lines, and set up geographic information center  as well as a network between the municipality and its branches.
The symposium also highlighted  the technical procedures of Business Process Management( bpm), application stages, technology advantages , in addition to reviewing the technical structure of key projects required to the e-government.
