General Organization of Food and Drug Warns of Buying Medicine Through the Internet
E-media:
Riyadh. The Saudi General Organization of Food and Drug warned people of buying medicine through the Internet. The Organization said that the advertisements in the Internet are misleading adding that the sources of these medicines are unknown and are not registered with it. The Organization's statement said that these cosmetics are very dangerous and their ingredients are also unknown. Most of these cosmetics are contaminated with other substances or free of active substances and if used may cause harm to users or may even lead to their death.
The Food and Drug said that  the bylaw regarding pharmaceutical cosmetics states clearly that these cosmetics must not be imported unless a license was obtained, therefore the Organization will chase those who deal with these in the Kingdom and if arrested will be prosecuted.
