Riyadh. The General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities has recently launched a search engine to allow searching for more sources in its internal network such as operating systems, databases, applications and electronic systems, and Web sites.
According to Riyadh news paper, the Director of Information Technology Mis'er Al Mis'er the search engine "Seek" launched by the Authority through Google will provide electronic link with the shared files of the Authority, the three websites of the Authority (the Authority's website, the information Center and the Tourism Research "mas" (Saudi Tourism Site") and the photo gallery and electronic applications, the Authority's addresses guide, the Director added that the new search engine is aimed at saving time and providing a unified interface that reduces effort in the search process, as well as helping the staff to interact with information stored in electronic form, and monitor performance, and allows search in the shared files of the Authority, and research on employees information.
It should be noted that His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz the President of the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities and His Royal Highness Prince Mansour bin Mit'eb bin Abdulaziz Minister of Rural and Municipal Affairs had jointly launched last month the search engine "Seek" during the annual meeting of the Authority at the Cultural palace in the diplomatic Quarters in Riyadh.
