Two ferries dedicated today cost SR250 million

Jazan -- Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf, the Minister of Finance, disclosed yesterday that the total cost of the two ferries Jazan and Farasan, dedicated earlier by the Governor of Jazan Region on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud amounted to SR250 million in addition to SR135 million worth of the value of operation and maintenance contract.
In a press statement reported by SPA following a tour with the Minister of Transport Dr. Jubarah Al-Suraiseri and Minister of Economy and Planning Khalid Al-Gosaibi of the region, Dr. Al-Assaf underscored the role to be played by the two ferries in transporting passengers between Jazan and Farasan island in the Red Sea free of charge.
