Jazan - Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz inspected the frontlines where he was briefed on the ongoing military operations and preparations.
He also inspected Land and Naval Forces aviation units stationed at the border. The Prince was briefed on the military tasks and operations aimed at defending the homeland.
Prince Khalid was accompanied by Deputy Land Forces Commander Prince General Khalid bin Bander bin Abdulaziz; Southern Region Military Commander General Ali bin Zaid Khawaji and a number of Armed Forces senior generals, "Al-Riyadh" newspaper reported.
Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, visited at King Fahd Central Hospital, Jazan, the wounded who confronted the intruders while performing duty towards their religion, King and Country.
Prince Khalid got reassured about their health condition and conveyed to them, the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz - the Supreme Commander of all military forces; the Crown Prince, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General and the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.
Speaking to reporters after inspecting armed forces along the Kingdom’s border with Yemen, Prince Khalid said soldiers would support the border guards in confronting the intruders.
He said civilians have been evacuated from areas surrounding the Khoba border post in order to facilitate the operation against the rebels. “Those who enter the area extending from the border for more than 10 km will be in a killing zone. In another words they have to either surrender or face destruction,” he explained.
“There is a clear instruction from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, the commander in chief, that we should not step even an inch into another country and we should not allow anybody to encroach even an inch of our territory,” he said.
