Riyadh - Saudi Post has won Innovation Award for Information Systems from US Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), which is a pioneer in geographic information systems in the world.
The head of the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) in the United States, Mr. Jack Danger Monde said, according to Saudi Press Agency, that the award is given to the Saudi Post based on nominations by others institutions, and according to the vision and implementation of "Postal Addressing" project.
The Director General of Technology at the Saudi Post Eng. Majed Al-Ismail pointed out that the award has been won for the work titled "Postal Addressing" which has enabled the establishment of a geographical information database in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
