A workshop on Strategy to control pests of public health in kingdom opened.

Riyadh - Prince Dr. Mansour bin Meteb bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs inaugurates events of workshop on " General strategy to control pests of public health in Saudi Arabia" which is organized by Deputy Ministry for Municipal Affairs on Monday for three days in the ministry headquarter in Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the workshop includes four main axes , monitoring the pests of public health in terms of geography, relationship of migratory wild birds in transferring diseases, optimal use of pesticides and vital control with the integrated control programs for pests of public health and review the experiences of the kingdom in combating dengue fever , Rift Valley Fever  as well as international experiences in implementation of integrated control programs for pests of public health to build the national combating strategy  in addition to the interaction of community to implement the pests control programs that affect public health.
The workshop targets the workers in combating harmful pests of public health in municipalities and village communities.  During the workshop, a number of scientific papers from specialists submitted from inside and outside the Kingdom with participation of relevant international organizations such as World Health Organization (WHO) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in addition to UNICEF.
