World Scout Fund values support by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

E-Media: Jeddah - World Scout Fund's officials valued the support provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for scouts around the world by allocating an endowment whose revenues go to the scouts peace and leaders qualification programs. This came during the announcement of the endowment which was handed over by Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saud, the Minister of Education and President of the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association, in Boston yesterday. The handing over ceremony was attended by Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf, Honorary Chairman of the World Scout Foundation; and a number of officials. Director of World Scout Foundation John Geoghegan described the support given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as a pilot initiative in the service of scouting at international level. He also reviewed the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy in the field of supporting world scouting. Prince Faisal bin Abdullah highlighted the Kingdom's steps in activating the role of scouting, stressing the support given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Saudi Scouts. On this occasion, the Mayor of the City of Boston Thomas Menino honored Swedish King and Prince Faisal bin Abdullah.
