Ministry of Health announces a new swine flu fatality

E-Media: Riyadh- The Ministry of Health reported a new swine flu fatality to become the eighth victim of swine flu in the Kingdom. The victim was a 25-year-old Saudi woman who came from Yemen, was admitted to hospital in Najran region on 14 Sha'aban 1430H. (5 August 2009) and died on 16 Sha'aban 1430H (7 August 2009), Saudi Press Agency quoted. The ministry said the disease is spreading fast as was announced earlier by the World Health Organization (WHO) and global contagion centers. However, the ministry said, it is of moderate intensity and majority of cases have recovered soon after medical care given to them, adding that the percentage of fatalities in the Kingdom due to the disease is within the global percentage.
