KSA implements 15 new power projects worth  $ 8.8 billion

According to Ventures Middle East, Saudi Arabia will implement 15 power projects worth 8.8 billion dollars including the power village plant that costs 2 billion dollars. According to the World Energy Council, middle east needs 100 gigawatt by 2020 to meet increasing power demand. With Middle east population expected to increase by 31 % to 500 million by 2025, countries of the territory should expedite power investments and boost power capacities, exerting a huge burden on scarce water resources.
