Al- Sheikh: Al- Sheikh: GCC joint collaboration an important figure in regional & international equation

Riyadh -SPA: Dr. Ibrahim Al- Sheikh, chairman of Shoura Council confirmed in Jeddah on Saturday that the joint collaboration of the GCC states is becoming an important figure in the regional and international political equation through communication and interaction with legislative councils and regional and international unions of the world. Al-Asheikh was making the opening remarks at the fifth meeting of heads of legislative bodies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries at the Conference Palace in Jeddah. The Shoura chairman expressed his thanks to the participants in their second country confirming the desire of all participants to proceed with the joint collaboration among GCC as part of the Arab and Muslim solidary. He said:” This meeting is held in an atmosphere of political and security developments that encompass our region and higher demand level of GCC citizen to enhance GCC citizenship in all aspects in order to realize aspirations of our leaders and people”. He said: “Such aspirations impose more obligation on us more than any time before to keep pace with the trends and aspirations and track the developments in our countries in their security, political, economic and social dimensions and how they influence our resolutions in order to interact with the GCC realities”. By the end of speech, he mentioned that this meeting comes a few days before the scheduled meeting of GCC leaders in Riyadh under chairmanship of the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques. Emphasizing the hopes and aspirations attached to that meeting, he thanked GCC leaders for their support.
