Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz chaired yesterday the consultative meeting of the heads of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) at Dirriya Palace, 20 km north of the capital. The one-day 12th consultative Summit was attended by Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoom, Vice President of Emirates, Premiere and Governor of Dubai, King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Sayied Vice Premier for cabinet's affairs in Oman and Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Than Emir of Qatar in addition to Sheikh Sabbah Al-Ahmad Al-Jabar Al-Sabbah Emir of Kuwait.
At the outset of the meeting, King Abdullah welcomed all attendees, and then they all discussed joint common issues on the political, economical and security levels in addition to a range of regional and international issues with special reference to security in the Gulf, the Middle East peace process and regional solidarity.
On the Saudi part, the Summit was attended by the Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz Second Deputy Premiere and Minister of Interior, Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Governor of Riyadh, Prince Saud Al-Faisal Foreign Minister, Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz President of General Intelligence and Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf Minister of Finance in addition to other High Officials.
