 Beirut - The Arab Forum for Environment and Development (AFED) will be hosted by Lebanese capital, Beirut as a venue for its annual conference, to convene on the theme of the impact of climate change on Arab countries with the participation of a large number of Arab and foreign experts and researchers.
President-General of the Presidency of Metrology and Environment ( PME), President of the Executive Board of the Council of Arab Ministers of Environment, Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz will lead the Saudi delegation to AFED's conference scheduled to take place from November 19-20 in the Lebanese capital, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The conference will witness two major events; the launching of the report prepared by AFED on the impact of climate change in Arab countries, and expected to be the most comprehensive document on the subject published on the eve of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, and the announcement of the results of the first public opinion survey conducted in 19 Arab countries on climate change. During the conference, the documentary entitled "Wet & Dry" will be released for the first time, summarizing the findings of AFED"s 2009 annual report.
