Saudi Arabia heads 5th conference for Environment Ministers in Islamic countries

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will head the 5th conference for Environment Ministers in Islamic countries which will be held in Astana City in Kazakhstan during 26-27/6/1433H.

His royal highness prince Turki bin Naser bin Abdulaziz, head of the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME), Head of the executive office of the Environment Ministers in Islamic countries and President of the Conference, pointed out that the conference will discuss a number of issues relating to environment and sustainable development in the member countries of the Islamic Cooperation Organization.

He added that the conference will also throw light on progress and achievements made by such Countries with reference to the main environment issues since the last edition of the World Summit for Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa 2002.
