E-Media: Cairo - An Arab working team specializing in communication and information technology started its 17th meeting on Tuesday at the Arab League. Speaking to reporters following the three-day meeting, Fadiya Suleiman, chief of the Syrian Ministry of Communication department of studies and projects, said that the Arab plan of action was set out for promoting an Arab communication and information technology strategy. She added according to "Al-Riyadh" newspaper, that the plan would be further thrashed out during the coming meeting of the working team, focusing on development and economic aspects and allowed the Arab private sector to bankroll IT projects. Several projects bearing on the strategy were also discussed during the meeting, she said, adding that other proposed projects would be put forward for the second stage of the strategy.
