Riyadh. The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeah has issued a circular to all Directors of health Affairs in the various Regions of the Kingdom to strictly adhere to the standard engineering designs when they need to modify or extend buildings and projects pertaining to hospitals and health care units of the Ministry of Health. By this the Ministry aims to standardize the designs of its hospitals and health care units across the Kingdom to maintain its beauty and the standard designs and also to improve the engineering aspect in the Ministry.
According to the SPA, the Minister of Health, Dr. Al Rabeah called on all Directors of Health Affairs in the Regions of the Kingdom to obtain permission from the General Directorate of Projects and the Engineering Affairs Directorate.
This comes after the ministry has noted that there is more than one design when building or expanding health facilities and that there is a desire to standardize designs for easy reference by visitors and patients and also in line with developments in engineering construction which stresses a uniform pattern in the design of facilities of any government agency or department.
