Ministry of Health warns of Internet and Mobiles groundless Information on medicines

E-Media: Riyadh - The Ministry of Health has reaffirmed more than once about groundless information that warn of the medical products containing material that speed up heart's pulse above the normal rate, which causes death, according to some Internet sites and mobile phone messages which indicates the names of some products which existing in pharmacies. The ministry pointed out on its website that Commission for Medicines Registration was studying this subject, including review of recommendations of international scientific bodies, accordingly, It recommended to use these products and include them in the handbook non- prescribed medicines as there are no any side effects, which allows to be sold in pharmacies without a prescription as it applied in developed countries. The ministry also stressed the pharmaceutical companies to add necessary warnings to internal bulletin of these medications such as not to sell these drugs for children under age of two year without prescription and under the supervision of doctor.
