Dr. Abdurrahman Al-Jaafary, Governor of Communications and Information Technology Commission "CITC" and the chairman of the Steering Committee of the e-Government Program "Yesser, "announced that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques patronizes the National Conference for e-Government in its second edition. The conference will be held on 16-20 of Shawal 1431H corresponding to 25-29 of September 2010 under the slogan "A Fruitful Cooperation.. A Fruitful Success". This came during a press conference held yesterday and attended by the Steering Committee Members.
He threw light on details of the 2nd National Conference organized by "Yesser" and supervised by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and CITC. He expressed gratitude of the Supreme Supervisory Committee at "Yesser" for the generous patronage of the Monarch of this Conference.
He confirmed that such a conference came as a fruit of the efforts made by a great number of Government Agencies which have implemented e-Transactions seeking a vital partnership among both Public and Private Sectors and attempting to exchange expertise and knowledge.
Regarding objectives of the Conference, he confirmed that it is envisioned to support the implantation of the e-Government in addition to pointing out efforts made numerous agencies in this respect. The conference also seeks to create a collaborative environment supporting effective partnership among Public and Private sectors.
We have sought through this conference to raise awareness about e-Government, helping citizens, expats and business sector to know about services offered by government agencies, he said.
He stated that the 2nd National Conference will be attended by more than 350 agencies and 2500 government officials. It will include 8 main sessions lasting for 2 days to elaborate relevant expertise and utilizing world experience.
On the other hand, the CITIC Governor launched the Official website of the Conference
www.egovconf.org.sa in addition to its approved slogan. At the press conference, it was announced that MOBILY Corporation is the official and technological partner of the National Conference and a contract of sponsorship was agreed upon and signed by CITC Governor and the Executive President of MOBILY Corporation.
On his part, Eng. Ali Bin Saleh Al-Soma, the General Manager of the e-Government Program "Yesser" confirmed that a corresponding exhibition will be held during the Conference containing 135 booths. Such an exhibition will be distributed into four main sections with a special focus on the e-Government Achievement Award.
He said that the Government Sector participation at the Conference is aimed to provide the Public with the proper knowledge about the e-Services offered by the Government Sector. Such Government Agencies are to illustrate their projects relating to transformation to the e-Transactions elaborating their future plans, their administrative and financial applications expertise in addition to the mechanism of executing such services.
