King heads Kingdom’s delegation to GCC Summit in Kuwait

E-Media: Kuwait - The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah leads the Kingdom’s delegation to the summit of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which is scheduled to start in Kuwait today. The foreign ministers of the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states have wrapped up the preparatory meeting which held yesterday for the 30th GCC Summit with an agreement on the blueprint final communique of the two-day summit. The GCC leaders are expected to give the go-ahead for a GCC power grid project which has already started to link the electricity networks of Gulf states, will also be commissioned by the leaders. The leaders will review joint cooperation in the areas of defense, security, combating terrorism and Gulf labor market organization in addition to the economic issues files that will be discussed including Gulf common market, unified customs and railways network . The leaders are scheduled to officially launch a monetary union pact, approve a multi-billion-dollar railway network and commission the start of a common power grid project.
