The king approved resolutions issued by Higher Education Council

Riyadh, SPA: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers and President of Higher Education Council, approved a number of resolutions issued by the Higher Education Council. Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Anqary, Minister of Higher Education stated that the Higher Education Council issued resolutions for establishing three colleges at Islamic University in Medina which are Faculty of science, Faculty of computer and IT and Faculty of Engineering. In addition, the Council approved on restructuring some departments and colleges at King Abdulaziz University Branch in Rabegh, and changing name of Science Faculty Branch to be Faculty of Science and Arts. The council, he added, approved restructuring Faculty of Medicine and Applicatory Medical Science in Ha'il dividing it into two faculties to be Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Applied Medical Science. Such a dividing kept the old 16 specializations and departments the same as they were, to be linked with Faculty of Medicine while all other medical science departments are independently linked with Faculty of Applied Medical Science. Dr. Al-Anqary pointed out that the Monarch approved all the Council's resolutions which included appointing some Professors as Deputies.
