Distance Education obstacles discussed by King Abdulaziz University

Jeddah, e-Media: King Abdulaziz University inaugurated yesterday a workshop to discuss the second 5-year strategic plan 1431-1435 H for the Deanship of Distance Education to deliberate obstacles facing government and private sectors employees when attempting to join distance education programs. The Dean of Distance Education Dr. Hesham bin Jameel Bardesee, pointed out that the Deanship has planned to achieve a prestigious distinction among world classified centers in distance education within the coming 5 years. Looking forward to possess advanced technologies and potentials to extend the scope for applicants to join distance education programs, the university has attempted to achieve both the third and fourth objectives of the plan to receive 50 thousand students and develop 80% of its academic curricula electronically. The workshop was attended by groups of academics, specialists and people concerned with educational process in addition to experts in strategic planning and distance education.
