King Abdullah to attend inauguration of Janadria 25 festival

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques attends today the inauguration of Janadria 25, the National Festival for Heritage and Culture.
On this occasion, Prince Metaab bin Abdullah, vice president of the National Guard for executive affairs and vice president of the High committee for the festival, confirmed that festival mission is steadily moving onward thanks to the great and continuous support of king Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Crown Prince and Deputy to Premiere, and Prince Badr Bin Abdulaziz vice president of the National Guard.
Such a continuous support is a strong pillar for boosting culture and innovation movement not only in the kingdom, but in all Arab world as well; especially where Gulf countries, French Republic and other countries will have distinctive participations at the festival, he added.
Abdul Mohsen Bin Abdulaziz Al Twigari, Assistant Deputy to President of National Guard, pointed out that the festival keeps on its mission of deepening the relation between the Kingdom's past and its present time. Actively interacting with critical cases at Arab and Islamic Nations' levels, a diversified range of cultural programs and events will be attended by more than 400 men of letters from different countries the world over, he stated. He also revealed that this year festival is to organize different activities throughout the kingdom's cities throwing light on varied issues i.e.; King Abdullah's view about peace, and interacting with others in addition to how this can be pushed forward.
The festival begins today with camel race, an operetta titled (Nation Union) in addition to other activities such as Saudi Orda (popular dance) which is supported by king Abdullah.
It is worth mentioning that French republic is to participate this year as an honor guest where visitors will come to get acquainted with French culture through various shows at the French booth.
Significant range of activities will be held at the festival including King Abdullah's competition for Qura'an memorizing. In addition a number of forums, lectures, theater shows and plastic arts exhibition
will be held at the festival.
