A Saudi website awarded a first-rank International Prize for "Sustaining Environment"

Arbitration committee for the Program of "Ford grants for Sustaining Environment" declared the Saudi website: www.saudiwildlife.com to be awarded its international prize in its first rank for Environment Projects for the year 2010. This website has been dedicated for preserving wildlife in Saudi Arabia supported by four un. Professors from different Saudi universities.
Dr. Abdul-Hadi Al-Oufi, the website Manager, pointed out that they concluded a partnership with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to cover world environment various events implemented within Arab Nations. They have cooperated  with the greatest research information database concerned with reptiles located in Europe, he said. "our site has been supported by National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development", he added.
Hussein Murad from the Program of "Ford Grants for Sustaining Environment" stated that 16 projects in Saudi Arabia have got support from the said program of $175.000 during 10 years. The winning website for this year has availed detailed information about animals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, declaring that an English Edition of the site will be soon launched in addition to a special section for fish, insects a long with a comprehensive photo-gallery about wildlife.
