Kingdom participates launching UN global report on disaster risk reduction

E-Media: Riyadh - On behalf of HRH Prince Saud al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Dr. Turki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer, Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs for multiple relationships heads Kingdom's delegation to participate in the meeting of launching UN global report on disaster risk reduction. According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting which will be held in Manama on 22 – 23/5/1430H, corresponding to 17-18 May, 2009 according to an invitation of the Bahraini Government and under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Bahraini Prime Minister and UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon. The report aims to draw attention to the danger of natural disasters and the need to be prepared for any emergency in order to ensure people's safety and it will outline natural hazards and climate change and come up with recommendations on how to achieve a better protection against disasters.
