Jeddah - Jeddah Mayor Eng. Adel bin Mohammed Faqih, opens today the two-day First Forum on Electronic Municipality Day which held at King Abdulaziz Culture Center, Abroq Al-Roghama in Jeddah.
According to "Al-Riyadh" newspaper, the forum witness a participation from Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, all municipalities in Kingdom, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, e-government program (Yesser) and public and private sectors in Jeddah, in addition to health centers dealt with health certificates and engineering and advisory offices, general contracting companies and a number of management consulting firms.
Eng. Bassam Al-Wareeth, general supervisor of Information Technology in Jeddah municipality pointed out that the forum aims to achieve National Development and having modern society with aid of electronic actions. It will focus on several important topics, including necessity of applying information and communication technologies (ICT) in offering urban Services, assessing the role ICT in urban Management and services, and assessing and offering successful samples of Electronic Municipality in Jeddah and other regions.
