King Abdullah calls for Rain-Seeking Prayer
Riyadh - The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has called for the performance of Istisqa (rain-seeking) prayers all over the Kingdom on Monday, October 19, 2009 corresponding to 30 Shawwal,1430H according to Umm Al- Qura calendar, as rain season has been delayed, a statement issued by the Royal Court said here today.
The statement , according to Saudi Press Agency, urged Muslims in the Kingdom to take part in the prayers, usually performed early morning during such drought according to the Sunnah (Tradition) of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).
