The Council of Ministers Approves The Organization of Saudi Red Crescent Authority
Jeddah, SPA:
 The Council of Ministers, during its session held on11/7/1432 H (corresponding to June 13, 2011), under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud, approved the organization of Saudi Red Crescent Authority.
The organization provides for the following:
1- Saudi Red Crescent Authority is a public body with an independent legal status associated with the Premier.
2- The Authority's main objective is to prevent and alleviate human sufferings and pains without any discrimination or differentiation in treatment for any reason.
3- The Authority assumes a number of missions to achieve its objectives including:
A- The transfer of wounded and sick people, and the establishment and operation of hospitals of Saudi Red Crescent in locations specified by the military leadership.
B- The provision of emergency medical services as the principal provider of these services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
C- Cooperation with the concerned authorities in the provision of health services to pilgrims.
4- When practicing its missions, setting programs, and implementing objectives, the Authority shall commit to the rules contained in this organization in a way that does not contradict the rules of Islamic Sharia, the statute of the governing system and regulations.
