3 SCTA Websites harvest prime positions in the League of Arab States awards
Riyadh, SPA: 
The three websites belonging to SCTA have won the first positions of the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy awards.  The Pan Arab Web Awards Academy functions in collaboration with the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO), an affiliate of the League of Arab States. A number of SCTA officials have received the awards during a ceremony held by the academy for awards in Masqat, Oman.
The official website of SCTA www.scta.gov.sa won the award of the best governmental strategic portal. The award was received by Mr. Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Jehani, Vice President of SCTA for Marketing and Media Affairs.
MAS website www.mas.gov.sa won the second prize as the informative websites. The award was received by Dr. Mohammad Al Ahmed, Director General of MAS. While the website of the 1st International Conference for Urban Heritage in the Islamic Countries www.islamicurbanheritage.org.sa won the first prize in the classification of cultural websites. The award was received by Mr. Mes’ar Al Mes’ar, the Director General of Information Technology.
These awards come as an extension to many electronic achievements that were accrued by SCTA including the award of “the best e-government application in the Arab world”, the “Oracle award”, and the “Visual Innovation” aware and the like.
These awards reflect SCTA pursuit of electronic information as an important means enabling SCTA to deliver its message to a wider group of people through publishing information related to its tourism programs and activities in its effort to promote domestic tourism and highlight tourism and heritage sites besides rising awareness among different social groups on the importance of tourism.
