Kingdom to participate in International Festival of World Desert People

E-Media: Algiers - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participates in the 4th International Festival of World Desert People which opens today in Timimoun city, Algeria. The Kingdom's delegation led by Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the General President of Meteorology and Environment. The three-day festival, according to Saudi Press Agency, aims to identify the cultures and traditions of desert's peoples, and acquaintance of intellectuals, creators, and artists and exchange their experiences. The festival will be attended by representatives of the United Nations and all regional and international organizations accredited in Algeria, as well as the Arab and foreign ambassadors. The festival includes a range of activities, including desert's folkloric teams and exhibitions on the environment and the dangers that threaten them, as well as seminars on environment and how to preserve and publicize the global environmental dangers especially toxic gases and contaminated liquids.
